Blog Post 3

I have decided to use Lino as my digital presentation tool. In my presentation, I will provide the audience with 3 different canvases that allow them to see the impact of the Gold Rush visually by providing pictures and text that goes further in-depth. On my second page, it will contain more fun facts and further research that the readers can go into, and it will have information on the first person that strike gold as well as a timeline of the Gold Rush, and lastly a comparison of San Francisco from 1850s till now. On my last page I will have my references as well as information about myself, and then I will have links to my blog and other classmates blogs. My storyboard has been completed but it is much smaller than the lino board, so many things didn't fit on my storyboard.

9/13: The book that I will be using is called "Golden rule: the origin of California water laws in the gold rush by  Mark Kanazawa. In this book, it illustrates mostly the negative impacts of the gold rush, but it also acts as a very good guide in order for us to see the impact of this event. It describes how the water laws that exist today have come about and why they are there, and this is all part of the impact of the gold rush.

I am doing my research on the positive and negative impacts of the Gold Rush because I live in California so it interests me to see how this state has developed into what it has become today. I would also like to find an explanation for the rise of California and I believe it is in the gold rush.
